Our vineyard, covering approximately 7 hectares, is exclusively located in the terroir of Mailly-Champagne. It is divided into about 25 plots.  

 

Situated on the heights south of Reims, our village and its terroir are classified as Grand Cru in the Champagne vineyard hierarchy. 

 

This is the highest distinction for a location (only 17 communes out of nearly 320 in all of Champagne can claim this privilege). We benefit from the best conditions for the flourishing of the vine.  Facing northeast on the slopes of the Montagne de Reims, our vines receive sufficient sunlight and thrive in a chalky soil composition that is ideal for Champagne grape varieties.

 

Indeed, our estate cultivates the three grape varieties authorized in Grand Cru classification — Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, and Chardonnay — comprising two black grape varieties and one white. The combination of these grape varieties enhances our reserve.  

 

Maison Roguet carefully tends to its vines throughout the year with precision and dedication.  

 

Supported by a skilled and locally trained team, we manage every stage of vine care, from winter pruning to summer canopy management. Each vine is cultivated thoughtfully, without excess, to ensure it gives its best during harvest.  

 

This is how we practice "sustainable viticulture", focusing our efforts on essential aspects to guarantee an optimal quality harvest that is both healthy and abundant.

 

Our harvest is conducted entirely by hand, following traditional methods. Each grape cluster is carefully selected directly on the vine, plot by plot, across the entire vineyard. Our harvesting teams, often long-standing members, are provided with food and lodging. They work by the hour, with no pressure for yield, allowing them to take the time to pick the grapes under the best possible conditions.  From vine management to pressing, we maintain full control over every step of the process.
